problem
The challenge
Toastmasters District 127 supports more than 200 clubs across the emirates, and it’s run by volunteers. Every year they manage award submissions, club records, an events calendar, a Hall of Fame and thousands of member records.
Off-the-shelf plugins couldn’t follow the district’s own rules: award criteria, evidence, deadlines and member checks. They needed tools built around how the district actually works.

How it was built to last
Volunteers change every year, so the tools have to be easy to hand over:
- Plain admin screens, with import and export on every data type
- Custom database tables for members, submissions and certificates, plus repair tools
- Shortcodes, so any page can show a form, calendar or directory
- Member checks against the official member list before an award is submitted
- Email delivery through SMTP so confirmations actually arrive
