01 What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files a website saves in your browser. They help the site remember things, like your settings, or measure how people use it. Similar tools include pixels, local storage and tags. This policy covers all of them, and I call them all “cookies” here.

02 The cookies I use

Always onStrictly necessary

These make the site work and keep it secure. They don’t need consent.

AnalyticsAnalytics (only with your consent)

These help me understand which pages are useful, so I can improve the site.

MarketingMarketing (only with your consent)

These would measure ads and could show you my ads on other sites. I don’t use any marketing cookies right now. If I start running ads, the cookies will be listed here first, and they will only run if you say yes.

EmbeddedEmbedded content

Some pages may include content from other sites, such as a booking calendar or a video. These providers may set their own cookies. I load them only after you consent, or show a placeholder until you click to load them.

03 How Google uses data

If you accept analytics cookies, Google processes data on my behalf. Analytics tags stay off until you say yes (Google Consent Mode v2), and analytics data is kept for 14 months. You can read how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

04 How to control cookies

• On this site: use the “Change cookie settings” button at the top of this page or in the footer.
• In your browser: most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking essential cookies may break parts of the site.
• Opt-out tools: Google offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics.

Refusing non-essential cookies won’t stop you using the site or requesting an audit.

I’ll update this page when I add or remove cookies. Check the date at the top for the latest version.
