Terms of Service
Last updated: 18 October 2026
01 About these terms
This website is run by Asif Ameer (“I”, “me”), an independent freelancer.
To reach me about anything in these terms, email asif@asifameer.com.
By using this site, you agree to these terms. If you hire me, your signed proposal or contract also applies. If the two ever conflict, the signed proposal wins.
02 Using this website
You may browse, read and share links to this site. Please don’t:
- Copy, resell or republish my content, designs or code without permission.
- Try to break, overload or hack the site.
- Submit spam, false details or harmful files through the forms.
I may update or remove any part of the site at any time.
03 Free audits
The free website and SEO audit is free, with no obligation to hire me. It reflects my professional opinion based on the information and tools available at the time. It is a starting point, not a guarantee of results. I may decline audit requests at my discretion.
04 Quotes and proposals
- Prices on my pricing page are starting points, not offers.
- A quote is valid for 30 days unless it says otherwise.
- Work starts once you accept the proposal in writing and pay the deposit.
- Prices are in USD and exclude any taxes or VAT that apply where you are.
05 Payments
06 Your responsibilities
To keep the project on schedule, you agree to:
- Provide content, logins and feedback on time.
- Confirm you have the rights to any text, images or logos you send me.
- Review work and give clear, combined feedback within 3 working days.
Delays on your side may move the timeline and, if a project stalls for more than 30 days, may lead to extra fees to restart.
07 Revisions and changes
Each proposal lists the included revision rounds. Changes outside the agreed scope are quoted separately before I start them.
08 Ownership
Your website
Once paid in full, you own the final design, content and custom code made for you.
Third-party items
Themes, plugins, fonts and stock images stay under their own licenses. I’ll tell you which ones need renewals.
My tools
I keep the right to reuse my general know-how, code snippets and frameworks that aren’t specific to your business.
Showing the work
I may show the finished project in my portfolio, unless you ask me not to in writing.
09 SEO and results
SEO depends on many things outside my control, including search engine algorithms, competitors and your market. I’ll follow recognized best practices and report honestly. I don’t guarantee specific rankings, traffic or revenue.
10 Hosting, access and security
Where I set up hosting or accounts for you, they’ll be in your name where possible. You’re responsible for keeping your passwords safe. Unless you’re on a care plan, ongoing updates and backups are your responsibility after launch.
11 Cancellation
- You can cancel a project in writing at any time. You pay for work done up to that point. Deposits are refunded in full if you cancel before work starts, and are non-refundable once work has begun.
- I can end a project if payments are overdue by more than 30 days or if these terms are seriously broken.
If you hire me as a consumer in the UK or EU, you keep your legal right to cancel within 14 days of agreeing to the work. If you ask me to start inside those 14 days, you pay for the work done up to the point you cancel.
12 Liability
I take care with every project. Still, to the extent the law allows:
- I’m not liable for indirect losses, such as lost profits, lost data or lost business.
- My total liability for any project is limited to the amount you paid me for that project.
- I’m not liable for problems caused by third-party services, hosting failures, or changes made by others.
Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law, such as for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
13 Confidentiality
I keep your business information private. I won’t share it except where needed to do the work (for example, with hosting providers) or where the law requires. See my Privacy Policy.
14 Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the country where I’m based as a sole trader. Any dispute will be handled by the courts there, unless the law where you live gives you other rights. Let’s always try to sort things out by talking first.
15 Changes to these terms
I may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Signed proposals keep the terms that applied when they were signed.
